and comprises the following participating Societies:

The Federation is governed by elected Officers and Councilors. The last election
was at the General Assembly held on September 22nd at the 5th FAOPS Congress
in Kuala Lumpur.

FAOPS Objectives:
The purposes of the Federation are exclusively scientific, educational,
literary, and no other, and in furtherance of only those purposes, the particular
business and objectives of the Federation are;
- to encourage the advancement of the physiological sciences
- to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of knowledge in the field
of physiological sciences and related fields
- to foster and encourage research in the field of physiological sciences
in Asia and Oceania
- to promote the Congress of the Federation of the Asian and Oceanian Physiological
Societies (FAOPS Congress
- to promote such other measures as will contribute to the development
of physiological sciences in Asia and Oceania.
Membership:
There are four categories of membership:
- honorary member
- regular member (annual fee is payable)
- associate member
- supporting member (some contribution is payable).
At present, we have 14 regular members and 5 associate members.
